Ramaphosa has until 8 September for Phala Phala answers - SARB
It seems President Cyril Ramaphosa's headache over the Phala Phala farm theft is not going away anytime soon.
This is after the South African Reserve Bank has extended its deadline for the president to provide answers.
The central bank says the president had not declared the millions in foreign currency stashed on the farm as required by law.
The bank then requested answers from the president but it seems it too, much like opposition MPs in the National Assembly, was not satisfied with the explanation given.

The bank has now given Ramaphosa until the 8th of September to provide further clarity on the source of the money.
Meanwhile, the EFF says there is a likelihood that the president also failed to declare the money to other entities like South African Revenue Service.
"Logic then follows that the South African Revenue Service equally has no knowledge of the money and this means the head of state Cyril Ramaphosa has evaded his tax obligations," says the party's Leigh-Ann Mathys.
"This delaying tactics, evasiveness and PR stunts is not going to save Ramaphosa from his removal from office.
"We also want to caution SARB, FIC, the SARS and SAPS against any efforts on trying to cover up the now evident violations of so many laws in South Africa."
