Deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa has been embroiled in a sex scandal.
He says he will respond to the allegations that have been levelled against him in the next 48 hours.
Ramaphosa has been accused of having extra-marital affairs with several women.
The African National Congress presidential candidate says he believes his private emails were hacked by a source in the state security agency.
OPINION: I don't care about the deputy president's sex life
He has so far only admitted to having one affair, eight years ago with a doctor from Limpopo.
Ramaphosa was speaking in the National Assembly before answering questions.
He says he needs to be accountable to the public.
"I want to start off by addressing a matter that affects my personal life. I will be addressing this matter in a day or two," he says.
On Saturday, Ramaphosa released a statement stating that these allegations are part of a smear campaign ahead of the ANC's elective conference in December.
The ANC's secretary general Gwede Mantashe has warned against the use of state institutions to fight political battles.
