Ramaphosa was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday.

He used the opportunity to laud the country’s judiciary, saying it will not give in to intimidation.

Ramaphosa said the government wants the commission to do its job without interference in order for it to get to the bottom of state capture.

"What is pleasing is that we got a judiciary that is independent, but we got a what I call a headstrong judiciary, a judiciary that will not cow down to be intimidated.

"A judiciary that has a fierce commitment to the rule of law, which will not allow any task they have been given to collapse in their hands.”

The president vowed that the government will not allow the commission to collapse due to leaks of information or other forms of interference, describing it as a moment of truth and redemption.

"That commission is very important in the life of South Africa because it is executing a very important and historical task of getting South Africa to get to the bottom of what really happened with state capture.

"We see the Zondo commission as being a moment of truth for us as South Africans. But also it must be a moment of redemption so that we put right what went wrong in the past and never again have the spate of corruption.
