Renewed attempts to locate 5 lions in the North West
Search teams will try again this weekend to trap the lions on the lose near Fochville.
The Captured in Africa Foundation says they've received calls of roars heard near the area they had been searching.
The Foundation's Drew Abrahamson says they will try again this week end to catch the lions.
"We will set up more camera traps around that specific area and a few more pieces of bait in different locations," she says.
Abrahamson says there is a possibility that the 5 lions are not roaming together anymore.
"Nobody has seen them since the SAPS saw the 5 lions together earlier this month, so there's no confirmation that they are still together."
Authorities have so far been unable to capture any of the animals that went on the lose weeks ago.
