SA needs to use its diversity more, Kolisi tells Ramaphosa

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has encouraged President Cyril Ramaphosa to make more use of diversity in his cabinet and those who serve in Parliament.
Kolisi and the rest of the Springboks team began the Webb Ellis trophy tour in Pretoria on Thursday morning.
The tour started at the Union Buildings, where President Ramaphosa honoured the Springboks with Presidential Certificates.
The champions came home to a warm welcome by thousands of South Africans at the OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday after beating New Zealand 12-11 in Paris last Saturday, becoming the team to win the title on four separate occasions after also winning in 1995, 2007, and 2019.
Kolisi encouraged Ramaphosa to use diversity more, adding that it is a strength that builds a strong team.
"We are very diverse, and we just wanted to show that diversity is our strength in South Africa.
“We encourage Mr President and the cabinet; we need to use our diversity a bit more. It is a powerful force that a lot of countries don't have, and we do, and we can use it.
“I think coming from different backgrounds and different areas, we all see different challenges, and we see life differently.
“That is what we did as Springbok players, and we did it by playing rugby. It is not very easy, but I believe you can use that amongst the country itself and with everybody that you work with in Parliament," he said.
