“Later today the SABC will be presenting before the portfolio committee of communication and the minister will be in attendance.”

On Tuesday, Ndabeni-Abrahams and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana held an urgent meeting with the SABC board to discuss staff retrenchments.

The SABC is expected to retrench 400 staff members after the broadcaster made a R511 million loss in the last financial year.
