Sadtu: Reiger Park principle must be prosecuted
The South African Democratic
Teachers Union (Sadtu) has expressed disgust at the conduct of a Reiger
Park principle who has been implicated in a sex scandal.
Photos and videos of the headmaster engaging in sex acts in his office have gone viral.
It’s believed the headmaster at Reiger Park NR 2 Secondary School also targeted female learners at the school.
Sadtu general secretary Mugwena Maluleke says the South African Council of Educators (SACE) must ensure that the now-retired principle is never employed again.
The union also wants the man to be criminally prosecuted.

"We are therefore calling for criminal charges to be instituted against this principal and for him to face the full might of the law. Parents entrust us with their children with the hope that we will protect them from any harm. We therefore cannot afford to let them down,” says Maluleke.
Maluleke says the principle’s conduct gives a bad name to the many hardworking teachers around the country.
"As an organisation that is at the fore-front of advancing the rights of the girl-child in particular, we refuse to be associated with such individuals."
