SANBS shuts all its centres in KZN

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has closed all its centres in KwaZulu-Natal.
The decision follows the continuous riots and looting in the province.
Spokesperson Khensani Mahlangu says they closed their centres before looting took place.
"All of our KZN donor centres have been closed since yesterday (Monday) once the unrest broke out, we made sure that we close all our donor centres and our staff have been sent home.
"There has been a substantial damage sustained to our donor enters and we will be able to know once the unrest die down how much damaged has been caused but we have been looted."
One of the donor centres at Queensmead shopping centre was looted on Monday evening.
"As we were live on TV while our president Cyril Ramaphosa was addressing us yesterday, the Queensmead mall donor centre was vandalised and looted," says Mahlangu.
"They did manage to get away with equipment and consumables including laptops and other equipment that was used within the donor centre as well as our mobile blood drive."
The blood service organisation says it will count all losses once the unrest dies down.
