Protestors blocked the R71, R40 and other subsidiary roads last week with tree branches, burning tyres and rocks.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the first to be arrested was 50-year-old Peter Malatji and 35-year-old woman Mavis Malatji who were apprehended on Monday.
Mavis collapsed in court after they were remanded in custody.

Other suspects, including the SANDF member, were arrested during the targeted raids that were conducted at identified locations.
They will appear in Namakgale magistrate court on Thursday.
