Sanef members urged to press charges after latest BLF 'assault'
Updated | By Suné du Toit
Members of the South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) are being urged to press charges after Black First Land First (BLF) interrupted a journalist gathering on Thursday evening.
The group was asked to leave a gathering organised by investigative journalists amaBhungane.
They were discussions state capture, when emotions boiled over.
The High Court has already issued an interdict against the BLF and its leader Andile Mngxitama from harassing, threatening, or intimidating journalists, or going to their homes.

Sanef chairperson Mahlatse Gallens says BLF has no respect for the rule of law.
"The court interdict was very clear that the BLF has to stop harassing, threatening and assaulting journalists and what we are seeing is that they have taken this type of anarchy to try and shut down freedom of expression," Gallens says.
Gallens says they condemn this attack.
"We have called on our members to go to the police station and lay charges and we are hoping that police will actually arrest them for the violation of the court order," Gallens says.
According to reports, Mngxitama has lodged complaints of assault and racism at the Hillbrow Police Station after a "white man" allegedly hit him.
He could not be reached for comment.
