Sanral 'bullying’ motorist into paying etolls - AA
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Automobile Association (AA) believes the South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) is using fear-mongering tactics to bully motorists into paying their etoll bills.
This comes after weekend reports that Sanral would now block car licence renewals for motorists who still need to settle their etoll debt.

The AA's Layton Beard says the blocking of licence disks cannot be done until Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula makes a pronouncement on the future of the user-pay system.
"Is in our view is pre-emptive and amounts to bullying and fear-mongering.
"We prefer for that narrative to be withheld until the minister has made a pronouncement of the future of etolls.”
Mbalula is expected to make an announcement on the future of etolls by the end of the financial year.
