SA's Covid infections continue downward trend

There has been an increase of 32 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours, according to the NICD.
As the country prepares to head to the polls, the average number of new Covid-19 cases continues to decrease.
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD reported 517 new Covid cases in the last 14-hour period.
According to the NICD, the proportion of positive new cases over the last 7 days remains low, and "the 7-day moving average daily number of cases has decreased."

According to the National Department of Health (DoH), a further 56 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 88 891 to date.
