SAWS warns of severe thunderstorms in four provinces

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for possible severe thunderstorms in North West, Mpumalanga, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday.
The weather sevice says the central interior of the country is likely to experience heavy downpours.
Forecaster Jan Vermeulen also warned of a level 5 warning for severe thunderstorms in North West.
"On Tuesday we have an alert for severe thunderstorms level 2 extending from North West to KZN. We also have a level 5 warning of medium likelihood of significant impact, from south-eastern part of North West to KZN.
"This also covers south western part of Mpumalanga, Gauteng and north eastern part of Free State."
The latest bout of showers and thundershowers comes after heavy showers battered the inland provinces last week.
