School hostel rape, assault case postponed
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
The case of four Northern Cape schoolboys, accused of raping and assaulting a fellow pupil, was postponed in the Jan Kempdorp Magistrate's Court on Thursday, the National Prosecuting Authority said.
The matter would be back in court on April 9, spokeswoman Mashudu Malabi said.
The boys, who are white and aged between 14 and 18, were previously granted R1000 bail each and released into the care of their parents.
In January a group of boys allegedly grabbed a fellow pupil, who is black, stripped him, painted him white and sodomised him with a broom handle.
