Updated | By OFM News
Due to heavy floods in Qwaqwa, Free State, the provincial education department has suspend schooling.
The downpours have damaged a large part of Qwaqwa, limiting the movements of residents - including learners and teachers.
According to the spokesperson for the Education Department, Howard Ndaba, MEC Tate Magoe, together with other stakeholders, will on Monday assess the situation and accordingly advise schools in Qwaqwa whether they will continue within the suspension.
The department is says it took this decision to protect pupils, teachers, and non-teaching personnel at schools.
The department further urges learners, teachers, and parents to exercise extreme caution during these devastating floods.
