Scores descend on Durban for Zulu King's certificate handover

Thousands of people are set to descend on Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium where King Misuzulu KaZwelithini will be officially recognised as the reigning AmaZulu monarch on Saturday.
KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube briefed the media on the state of readiness on Friday.
"The whole world is eagerly awaiting this even because it is steeped in historical significance where you consider the fact that this event last happened in 1971," said Dube-Ncube.
Around 48 000 people are expected to attend the ceremony, to witness President Cyril Ramaphosa hand over a certificate of recognition.
Dube-Ncube said the theme of the event is, 'The sun has risen on the Zulu Nation’.
"We are encouraging everyone to dress in their finest gear in celebration of African culture, regardless of race, colour or creed. We want to see amabheshu, amahawu, izidwaba and any other dress code that show case the tapestry of our beautiful traditions and culture as Africans. We expect the Moses Mabhida stadium to be clad in a symphony of traditional colour.”
She says the event will be safe and secure for all those attending.
"The NatJoints has been activated and is working closely with the Security cluster comprising of SAPS, eThekwini Municipality and security officials as well as many safety volunteers. We know that dangerous weapons will not be allowed.”
Multiple roads in the vicinity of the stadium have been closed.
