Search still on for missing 3-year-old

Gauteng residents are waiting to hear if their areas would be declared disaster zones following recent flash floods and receive the aid that comes with the declaration.

Major flash floods hit parts of the province last week causing extensive damage to infrastructure.
Meanwhile the search for the missing 3-year-old, Everlate Chauke, who was swept from her father's arms along the Jukskei River, resumes today.
The Alexandra girl has been missing for a week with emergency services, police divers and rescue workers continuing to search for any sign of the little girl.

This while parts of the Tshwane municipal area are experiencing dry taps.
The City of Tshwane says residents who get water from the Waverly high and low level reservoirs are affected and that water supply will only be restored on Friday as scheduled upgrades are done.
