Senzo Meyiwa trial adjourned to Monday
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
The trial against the five men accused of killing soccer star Senzo Meyiwa has been postponed until Monday by the High Court in Pretoria.
The presiding judge Tshifhiwa Maumela adjourned proceedings due to the health of the defence counsel for accused number one and two.
The case is expected to resume on Monday.
“I would like to request the court that the matter be adjourned until Monday my lord and therefore I will be fit and proper to continue," advocate Sipho Ramosepele told the court.
Earlier Meyiwa’s best friend Mthokozisi Thwala continued his testimony on Friday.
Thwala testified that it was Longwe Twala who first got up when the intruders entered the home in Vosloorus in 2014.

He added that Twala ran past both armed intruders.
“If I understand your evidence, Longwe gets out of the house, runs through the men armed with a gun, passes through the men armed with the house and goes out? Is that correct?” Thwala was asked.
"Yes, that is correct," he responded.
