Prior to the arrest, 29-year-old Zola Martin Mnisi was out on R8 000 bail following his appearance in the Kabokweni Magistrates’ Court for a murder and armed robbery case which occurred in July at White River.

Mnisi is also facing other charges relating to a cash-in-transit robbery, which occurred in August.

In that case, he was released on bail of R5 000 in the Malelane Magistrates’ Court.

His latest arrest comes after Mpumalanga Police arrested two teenagers on Monday, following the murder and discovery of the body of a 15-year-old girl at Goede section in Balfour.

Hawks spokesperson Dineo Sekgotodi says Mnisi was re-arrested during his court appearance for another case on Tuesday at Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court.

“It is alleged that on the 5 May 2017, a Ram Courier company was delivering cellphones to a Vodacom outlet at Ilanga Mall in Neslpruit. The courier vehicle was hijacked by armed suspects who took the driver and the crew to Mattafin area.

“The cargo/goods were removed from the courier vehicle and loaded into a Toyota Quantum minibus and suspects fled the scene.”

Mnisi was granted bail of R2 000 by the Nelspruit Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and the case was postponed to 29 March 2024 for further Investigation.
