Shashi Naidoo barred from Palestinian territories
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Well-known South African
TV personality and model, Shashi Naidoo, was
barred from entering the Palestinian territories
on Wednesday.
Naidoo came under fire after comments she made about the unrest between Israel and Palestine went viral, and caused widespread outrage.
In a series of tweets Shashi got into a debate with a follower on Instagram, calling Gaza a "sh**hole" and bashing Gaza for apparently not using aid and resources in helping its population but pursuing an "ambition to annihilate Israel".
Naidoo issued a tearful apology and said she needed to learn about the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions', Kwara Kekana, says Naidoo joins a growing list of South Africans who have been denied entry including Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Minister Blade Nzimande.
"The many people that form part of this list is that they have been denied entry into Palestine because of how they speak out about Palestine," Kekana says.
Kekana says they will be calling for the immediate of the South African embassy in the region.
"The relation between South Africa and Israel do not benefit us at all are calling for the downgrade of relations through the embassy downgrade in this regard.”
