Silverton flying squad member arrested over alleged bribery

A 38-year-old police constable based in Silverton Flying Squad, Pretoria was arrested on Friday over alleged bribery.
Ipid's Hunter Seisa says they received information that police officials were soliciting bribes from motorists.
The arrest was affected along the R80 Mabopane Highway.

"We made all the lawful necessary arrangements and activated a sting operation which resulted in arresting the suspect for corruption and is expected to appear before Pretoria North Magistrate court on Monday," says R80 Mabopane Highway.
"The message to all law enforcement officials is that crime does not pay," he concluded.
