Sisulu: Impossible for ANC to go below 50% in Gauteng
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
African National Congress NEC member Lindiwe Sisulu, who is also minister of international relations, believes it's impossible that the party to receive less than 50% of the votes in Gauteng.
Sisulu was speaking at Hoërskool Linden in Randburg on Monday, where she cast her special vote.
The latest poll by the Institute of Race Relations has predicted that the ANC will get 53% nationally and 41% in Gauteng.
"There is no possibility that the ANC will get less than 50% in the province, absolutely not. We will be above 60% and we are confident that we will stretch the margin further than we did in the local government elections."

She joked that the IRR's computers may have a virus.
Sisulu said South Africans know by now for which party to cast their vote and encouraged voters to put their mark next to the right party.
