Six arrested in WC Operation Fiela

Six people were arrested for various crimes during Operational Fiela in Browns Farm, Nyanga, Western Cape police said on Friday.
At least 633 persons and 171 residences were searched during the operation, said spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut.
“An arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol was also effected. One female was arrested for selling liquor without a license, two male suspects operating a breakdown vehicle were arrested for being in possession of Metro Police and emergency services hand radios.”
”One male suspect was arrested for the possession of 3kg dagga and another was arrested on an outstanding warrant of arrest.”
Traut said 109 litres of alcohol was confiscated from the woman charged with selling liquor without a license. Two minibus taxis were also impounded for operating illegally. -ANA
