Six killed in horrific Eastern Cape tavern attack
Updated | By Algoa FM
Six people were killed and four others injured when two men set a tavern alight at Sweetwater near King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape.

Spokesperson for the Eastern Cape Safety Department Unathi Binqose says the incident happened shortly after 9 when the men entered the popular tavern and ordered people out.
He says the men then threw what is believed to be a petrol bomb into the place, starting a fire.
Binqose says MEC Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe has condemned the attack.
"The MEC has described that attack as very evil, attacking innocent people that are out to unwind. She has called on the police to work hard and ensure that those who are behind the attack are apprehended."
