Monday’s heavy rain and flooding on Gauteng roads claimed the lives of six people.
Gauteng traffic department spokesperson Obed Sibasa says six fatal crashes were reported on Monday due to slippery roads.
"Flooded roads and poor visibility caused havoc in Gauteng.
"Three drivers, two pedestrians and a passenger perished due to accidents in Gauteng. A driver of a light delivery vehicle was accidentally hit by a trailer of a truck and was killed instantly.”

Sibasa says another driver was killed in Killarney when he lost control of his bus and collided with a bridge pillar.
In Rivonia, a driver was killed after he lost control of his car and it overturned.
"Two pedestrians and a passenger were killed in Centurion as a result of the driver losing control, overturning and colliding with six objects and the pedestrians," Sibasa said.
Sibasa urged motorists to take it easy on wet conditions.
"Do not drive over 80km/h on a 120km/h road or 40 km/h in a 60km/h road."
