Slight breather for motorists
August will see a slight breather
for motorist with a marginal increase in petrol and a decrease in the price of diesel.
All grades of petrol will increase by one cents per litre on Wednesday while diesel will be four cents per litre cheaper.
The price of illuminating paraffin will increase of four cents.
The energy department made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

The department's Hein Baak says while the rand was weaker against the US dollar, the international oil price saved the day.
The price of brent crude oil decreased slightly over the past month.
The fuel price announcement comes a day before a planned protest at Treasury’s offices in Pretoria against the high fuel prices.
Meanwhile, the Automobile Association's (AA) Layton Beard says this slight increase does make it difficult to predict whether or not there will be a decrease in September.
