Snow, icy weather turns Free State into winter wonderland
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Motorists have been warned of treacherous road conditions in the Free State due to snow falling in parts of the province.
This comes as a cold snap has hit the country this week, resulting in icy conditions between Van Reenen’s Pass and Harrismith.
N3 Toll Concession operations manager Thania Dhoogra says motorists need to approach the area with caution.
“Reduce speed, increase following distances and always keep headlights switched on. Please remain vigilant while always traveling as inclement weather may result in congestion and traffic delays.”
