Social worker to be assigned to Baby Siwaphiwe
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
A social worker will be assigned to advocate on baby Siwaphiwe's behalf as the probe into her alleged kidnapping continues.
Staff members caring for the one-month-old at a place of safety say the new-born has been doing well.
Jane Linley-Thomas, who looks after Siwaphiwe, says she will remain in their care until a court decision is made on who will take care of her.
"She had her first night - absolutely perfect. She woke up once for a feed and went back to sleep. She really doesn't fuss much and likes to be held," Linley-Thomas says.

This comes after the court case against the baby's mother and two others were postponed in the Durban Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Sibongile Mbambo was arrested after reporting her baby missing last week saying she had been taken by hijackers in Durban.
The child was found in her mother's care in the early hours of Sunday morning in a car in Marianhill.
Three people, including Sibongile Mbambo, were arrested and are due back in court tomorrow after the court ordered that a DNA test be conducted to determine the biological father of Siwa.
