South Africa to explain itself at the ICC
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Representatives of the South African government will appear before a Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday.
They are expected to explain why the court should not make a finding of non-compliance after Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir was allowed to visit South Africa for an African Union Summit in 2015 - and allowed to leave - despite an ICC warrant for his arrest for crimes against humanity.
The South African Litigation Centre's Kajaal Ramjathan-Keogh is in The Hague where she will make submissions against government's actions.
Ramjathan-Keogh spoke to JacarandaFM News' Gerda de Sousa.
