The driver of a Mercedes Benz crashed while allegedly trying to evade arrest for speeding on the R21 in Ekurhuleni on Sunday morning, metro police said.

Allegedly clocking 240km/h, the 23-year-old was among 11 people arrested on the Albertina Sisulu Highway between the Olifantsfontein and R23 turnoffs, said Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago.
He lost control of his vehicle and rolled.
"He fortunately only sustained minor injuries. An additional charge of disobeying the officer's instruction has been filed against him," said Kgasago.
The man told officials he was on his way to fetch his father.
A 38-year-old man on a Kawasaki was arrested for doing 222km/h and one motor bike was impounded for failing to display a number plate.
All of those arrested would appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court soon on charges of reckless and negligent driving.
