Spur restaurants will open on ‘case-by-case’ basis
Spur Corporation has denied reports that its restaurants will remain closed once the lockdown is lifted by the government.
In a statement, the restaurant franchise’s spokesperson Moshe Apleni says each Spur is independently owned and operated.
"The timing of the re-opening of each restaurant will, therefore, be considered on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with each franchisee, depending on each restaurant's own circumstances and the government regulations relating to trading restrictions at the time.”
Media reports claimed that only a few of the group's Rocomamas burger restaurants would be opened, and that all Spur and Panarottis restaurants will remain closed as long as they face restrictions on the number of customers and the selling of alcohol.
