Following the premiere of the 8th season of popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones’, Stats SA has compiled a report into the price of winter essentials since season 1.
According to AFP the most watched series - also known as GoT to fans - is also the most expensive to produce.
It had a budget of $15 million (13 million euros) per episode, taking the overall season cost to $90 million.
Although much of this has gone on lavish locations and special effects, the final two episodes will be one hour 20 minutes long -- almost the length of Hollywood movies.

On a more positive note, a decoder to watch the show has decreased by 19.1% since season 1.
