Streets in Sunnyside to be closed for GBV march

Several streets will be closed in Sunnyside on Friday for a march against gender-based violence.
The Gauteng Department of Community Safety says the march aims to reaffirm the authority of women being able to walk the streets freely.
Spokesperson Pinkie Numa says police officers and several civil society groups will also take part in the march..
The marchers are expected to gather from 17h00 at the corner of Kotze and Troye Street in Jubilee Park, Sunnyside.
Streets that will be affected are as follows:
Kotze Street
Troye Street
Bok Street
Van Boeschoten Avenue
Robert Sobukwe Street
Steve Biko Street
Tshwane metro police officers will be deployed to monitor the march and the affected streets.
