Suspect arrested for murder of KZN girl (6)

A 42-year-old woman has been arrested for the murder of a 6-year-old girl in Umhlali, Kwazulu-Natal.
The body of the missing girl was found in a sugarcane field in Riet Valley on Tuesday.

Provincial police spokesperson Jay Naicker says the girl was allegedly snatched from her mother’s vehicle on Sunday.
"According to the mother of the child, when she approached a speed hump near Shayamoya, an unknown man opened the door of her vehicle and snatched the six-year-old who was sleep on the rear seat.
"After an intensive investigation, a 42-year-old woman was taken in for questioning by police yesterday.''
The suspect is expected to appear at the Umhlali Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
