Sophie Mmako (51), Lazarus Mahlo (41), Advance Amid (30) and Casper Mudau (35) each face two counts of murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and kidnapping.

The four were locked up after the bodies of 55-year-old Lizette and her 70-year-old mother Hettie were found with stab wounds in an abandoned vehicle on the R37 next to the Kushcke off-ramp earlier this month.

Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says all four will be remanded in custody.

“The matter was postponed to 7 October 2020 for further investigations.”

The family’s domestic worker is among the accused.
