Updated | By Maidi Monareng
A suspect has been fatally shot and a farm owner wounded in an apparent farm attack in Musina in Limpopo Monday morning.
Police say the 72 year-old farmer was held at gunpoint by four suspects who allegedly invaded the farm house, demanding firearms and keys to the farmer's safe.
The farmer was shot and sustained injuries on the left arm and forehead.
He allegedly shot back, fatally wounding one of the suspects.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba said that the three suspects fled the scene. They crossed paths with the farmer's son and tied him up.
"It was later discovered that one of the three suspects was also wounded and he was arrested. The remaining two are on the run."
