Taxi owner shot in Centurion

Police have launched a manhunt for three suspects following the killing of a taxi owner in Centurion on Thursday afternoon.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says a 52-year-old taxi owner was shot and killed while making his way from a meeting in Centurion.
Dlamini says the owner - who is associated with the Centurion taxi association - was shot several times by three unknown men in Theron Street.

"He was shot by three unknown suspects while he was coming from the meeting. The suspects shot him several times. He died on the scene."
Dlamini says the motive behind the attack is unknown at this stage.
