Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Thousands of commuters have been left stranded due to a protest by members of the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco).

Drivers belonging to Santaco in Gauteng barricaded several roads in the province, including the N1 between Olifantsfontein and Allandale in Midrand.
Taxi drivers say they will not be transporting commuters on Thursday as they plan on marching to the South African Taxi Finance offices in Midrand to hand over a memorandum.
Slindelo Masikane reports from Johannesburg.
Pieter van der Merwe is in Centurion.
