Teen arrested for stabbing Centurion couple
A 18-year-old suspect has been arrested for stabbing a couple in Centurion on Thursday evening.
The couple, believed to be in their forties, was rushed to hospital after paramedics were dispatched to the scene on Avian Avenue in Pierre Van Ryneveld.
Police say the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle which was found abandoned in Tembisa in the early hours of Friday morning.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters says the 18-year-old, who is a relative of the victims, conspired to commit the crime with an unknown woman.
“Police are searching for the second suspect, the unknown woman, and police are appealing to anyone with information.”
She adds that the suspect was apprehended in Aliwal North following a joint operation with local authorities.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst says that the female victim was found in a critical condition.
“Due to the serious nature of the female patients’ injuries the HALO helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the lady to a specialist facility.”
The motive for the stabbing is still unknown.
