Teenage boy shot and killed during house robbery
A 13-year-old boy has been shot and killed by robbers who broke into his home in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.
Police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says the mother had been working the nightshift at a mine.

"According to information, the boy was asleep whilst his mother went to work and apparently some ruthless thugs came to house and started to remove some stuff in the house.
"The little boy saw what was happening and locked himself in his room," Hlathi said.
The suspects broke down the boy’s door when they heard him screaming for help.
"They then took a few stuff outside and in that process he then screamed, calling for help,” says Hlathi.
"The heard him and went back in the house, broke the door of his room, went straight to him. Another one strangled him and another one shot at him."
The robbers fled only with a plasma television.
