Teffo’s intimidation claims ‘baseless’ – Presidency
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
The Presidency’s has come out with guns blazing following claims by Advocate Malesela Teffo that President Cyril Ramaphosa was part of an alleged cabal seeking to make his clients to take the fall for Senzo Meyiwa's death.

Teffo dropped a bombshell in the High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday when he announced he would no longer represent four of the five accused in the high-profile murder trial.
Teffo claimed the harassment he endured while in court, and which led to his withdrawal from the case, was part of a plan hatched in Ramaphosa’s office.
The Presidency’s Vincent Magwenya says his claims are baseless and unsubstantiated.
“The Presidency does not participate in criminal investigations or trials and is not involved in any perceived or actual harassment of Advocate Teffo. As an officer of the court and a professional in the legal fraternity, Advocate Teffo must appreciate the level of veracity that is necessary to support such claims about any institution or individual.
“The Presidency espouses the values of our Constitution and cherishes the protection, safety and justice for all,” says Magwenya.
