Police in Limpopo arrested three people after a community protest erupted in Groblersdal on Monday.
The disgruntled community barricaded the N11 near the Masakhane village over service delivery.
Police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says a truck was torched and they expect to make more arrests soon.
"There were no injuries. It was only a truck that was burned across the road," says Mojapelo.
"We managed to clear the road. Subsequent to that three people were arrested."

The suspects are facing charges of theft, housebreaking, and the loss of firearms. Dlamini added that those that were arrested were arrested based on what the investigation pointed to. The SANDF is still hoping to recover the stolen weapons.
Mojapelo has cautioned the community against acts of violence.
"We are calling on the people that when they protest they must not be violent. There are other ways or other manners in which the message can be gotten across.
"They mustn't block the road because by doing so they are disturbing other road users and it is illegal."
The road has since been reopened to traffic.
