Three British tourists injured in KNP collision

Three British tourists are being treated in a Polokwane hospital in Limpopo after they were involved in collision in the Kruger National Park.
The bakkie, carrying one man and two women from the United Kingdom, collided with another bakkie carrying four South Africans on Thursday.
According to SANParks, the collision took place on a gravel road about 3.8km from the Punda Maria Camp.
"We would like to appeal to tourists who visit the KNP to please observe speed limit at all times; with extra attention on gravel surfaces in order to avoid unnecessary accidents such as this," the Managing Executive of KNP said.
SANParks said the foreign tourists were overnight guests at a Lodge in the Makuleke Concession, far north of the Park.
"In a strange twist of fate, but unrelated to the head-on collision, a contractor vehicle carrying some diesel overturned and fell at the low level bridge around Lower Sabie on Tuesday, 8 March 2016. There was diesel spillage into the river and a company to immediately attend to the spill was appointed in order to avoid possible pollution to the environment" SANParks said.
