Three in court for Gauteng cyclist’s murder
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
The three men who were arrested and linked to the murder and robbery of a cyclist in November are to return to the Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The suspects were arrested after they were found with two bicycles shortly after a robbery on Olifantsfontein.
Police subsequently linked them to the killing of a 58-year-old cyclist, who was hit by a stray bullet during a robbery.
"The three suspects who were arrested and linked to cases of murder and robbery of cyclist remain in custody after they were positively identified by three more cyclists who were robbed in Olifantsfontein recently," said Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo.
"The suspects, who are now linked to 11 cases of murder and robbery of cyclists, are expected back at Tembisa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.”
