Three die in N12 crash
Three people have died in a crash at the Rondebult Road Exit on the N12 in Boksburg.
Emer-G-Med paramedics say they arrived at the scene to find a bakkie had rolled multiple times with the occupants ejected from the vehicle.
"Two passengers were assessed and were found to have sustained fatal injuries - they were declared dead at the scene," Emer-G-Med's Max Cohen says.
The accident happened at around 05:43 this morning.
Paramedics says the third passenger was in a critical condition.
"Unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene," Cohen says.
A fourth passenger sustained critical injuries and required rapid Advanced Life Support intervention while two others sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were assessed and stabilised at the scene before being transported to various hospitals nearby.
Emer-G-Med says eyewitnesses reported that the driver was intoxicated and fled the accident scene.
Local traffic authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
