Gauteng police have detained three minor boys between the ages of 14 and 17 following a shooting incident outside the MH Joosub Technical Secondary in Lenasia, southeast of Johannesburg, on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says two of the boys were rushed to a local hospital.
"One of the victims sustained a wound on the right leg below his knee and the other sustained a grazed wound."
The boys have been charged with attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
"One of the boys found in possession of the firearm said it belongs to his father," says Dlamini.
Police seized a 7.65mm pistol and will investigate whether the gun was legal.
