This is according to a Namibia twitter account @InformanteNews, which tweeted a video of Hellens and legal partner Dawie Joubert in court on Friday afternoon.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation reported that Hellens and Joubert were questioned by immigration officials and escorted off the court premises.

It appears that they may have entered that country without valid work permits.

A video on Twitter shows the two lawyers taken in by the SWAT team and officials from home affairs and immigration.

Hellens and Joubert were set to represent Namibia's former former fisheries and justice ministers Bernhard Esau and Sackeus Shanghala for the alleged bribes of $10 million.

The bribes were paid by a major Icelandic fishing firm.

Both ministers have subsequently resigned from their positions.
