Total water shutdown for parts of Tshwane
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The City of Tshwane says there will be a total shutdown of water supply to the east of Pretoria.
The taps will run dry in affected areas on Tuesday morning.
Water will be restored before midnight as Rand Water technicians upgrade a water pump meter at the Garsfontein reservoir.
City of Tshwane spokesperson, Selby Bokaba, says Rand Water has given the assurance that the water supply will be restored by late evening.
@CityTshwane would like to remind its consumers, once again, of a planned water supply shutdown by @Rand_Water scheduled for today March 27 2018

Bokaba says 14 other suburbs will also experience water interruptions on Wednesday.
That interruption by Tshwane Water will start at eight in the morning and end twelve hours later.
"We are urging our people to fill-up their buckets with water. At this moment we have not made any arrangements for water tankers because we have communicated in advance to all our residents about the water interruptions."
