Tshabalala, Ngubane in the hot seat
Updated | By Laila Majiet
Former SABC board chairpersons Ellen Tshabalala and Ben Ngubane will appear before Parliament tomorrow.
The pair are set to face tough questions when they appear before the ad hoc committee probing the SABC board.
These are the last two witnesses who will be interviewed by the committee.
The committee was expected to resume on Tuesday.
Committee chair Vincent Smith says: "The delay was because Dr Ngubane asked for a day or two extra to adequately prepare."
DA shadow minister of communications Phumzile van Damme says the most important work still lay ahead.
"Following tomorrow's sitting the committee will begin the important work of putting together a set of recommendations that will serve the purpose of steering the SABC towards calm waters as well as holding people accountable."
She says she's excited the process has progressed as far as it has.
"It's taken months and months of hard work of pushing in Parliament for the SABC inquiry to be held. Initially the ANC refused, but after much pressure they agreed."
The EFF's Fana Mokoena says the pair's testimony is vital to uncovering the rot at the public broadcaster.
"We need their input so they can confirm the corruption and nonsense that has been happening at the SABC."
