Tshwane assures Bronkhorstspruit water woes to improve from next week
The City of Tshwane is confident the water supply issues in the Bronkhorstspruit area will improve from next week.
Areas such as Rethabiseng township, Ekandustria, Ekangala main township and Ekangala Dark City have been without water since the breakdown of a pump at the water treatment plant.
The city’s MMC for utilities and regional operations, Themba Fosi, says one pump is currently out for maintenance and refurbishments.
He says the said pump is expected to be working again on Tuesday.
"On Wednesday, we will have a team of guys who will be able to install the second pump, which will be able to provide water, especially to the high-lying areas of Ekangala, Ezithobeni and Dark City.”
